The name of my book/band is called "Service Connected". The band is a modern rock band that supports U.S. Military Veterans and their families. The band can be seen welcoming troops home from deployments, as well as participating in charity functions. The use of the Woodland Camouflage background and Soldiers Memorial on the front cover signifies that this book represents current and fallen military. On the back cover- a picture taken from the Vietnam Memorial with names of some service-members killed or missing in action during the Vietnam War, including my cousin "Anthony Sanseverino" who died in Quang-Tri as a result of small arms fire. Some of the creative effects I will incorporate into my book cover are Manual Tracing and the Distressed text type.

Motorcycle Awareness Poster
Based on a recommendation, I decided to go a different route with my Poster. The original idea was a good thought, but after some thinking I felt it was not realistic. This new poster design reminds me of an advertisement seen in a Motorcycle Magazine or on a billboard next to route 66. The message displayed is a good reminder that all types of people ride a motorcycle and we should share the road with them like we would with any other vehicle.

Awareness Poster Rough Draft
One of the things I am very passionate about is riding my motorcycle and the feeling of freedom felt while cruising down the road. Most drivers on today's highways are pre-occupied with many distractions from text messaging to talking on the phone. As a daily rider one of the things I encounter too often is the motorist that does not see the motorcyclist because he/she simply is not looking for the motorcyclist. The silhouette of a motorcycle is harder to see than that of a automobile. For my Awareness Poster, I figured it would be a good idea to express my concern as a motorcyclist by creating a poster that addresses the issue in a heart felt manner. I plan on using the pictures attached here and a very basic type of typography to help illustrate the simplicity of the pictures as well as the targeted audience. I am open to any suggestions.
